Time is a concept used in physics, but it is disturbing that is used in different ways distinas fields of physics.
In special relativity time is treated the same way that space and an observer in motion will look like what we see time and space and vice versa, so that the time and space are mixed in what we call "Lorentz transformations."
In quantum mechanics, however, time is treated very differently the space is completely different, so it's so hard to unify quantum mechanics and relativity.
general relativity which allows the curvature of time and space, not yet fully integrated with quantum mechanics and is a challenge.
time as we perceive it appears to be very different from the time stated in the equations of physics do not perceive that time and space are the same as space.
What have to do these equations and those concepts with our conscience?
is an enormous challenge and my escapes me, but I think we need a deeper understanding of quantum mechanics and consciousness before they can solve.
"The time is not simply IS" and that's how it appears in relativity, where the fundamental concept is not the time, but the space-time.
